Abstract

The high desire of parents to include their children in Taman Pendidikan Al Quran (TPQ) is not proportional to their ability to understand Islam. Based on the results of a survey at TPQ, 15% of parents cannot read the Quran, 18% of their prayers are still rare. Parents register their children to TPQ in the hope that they will have a better understanding of religion than them. Assistance activities for TPQ are expected to be able to: 1) Provide additional activities at TPQ in addition to teaching and learning the Quran for children 2) Increase the understanding of TPQ on understanding Islam through discussion 3. Provide positive routines for parents 4. Increase a sense of harmony between parents by frequently meeting in discussions.
