Abstract
Ecoliteracy should be introduced from early childhood to develop environmental awareness through simple daily habits. This community service activity aimed to strengthen parents’ initial understanding of ecoliteracy and equip them with simple skills to process household organic waste into compost using used plastic bottles. The activity was conducted on August 15, 2025, at KB PAUD Tunas Bangsa II Kalimandi, Purwareja Klampok District, Banjarnegara Regency. The methods included observation, partner coordination, socialization, compost-making demonstration, discussion, simple evaluation, and documentation. The results showed that 15 of 17 invited parents attended the activity, with an attendance rate of 88.24%. Participants responded positively through active discussion, interest in home composting, and initial commitment to implementing ecoliteracy practices with their children. This activity indicates that practice-based ecoliteracy socialization can strengthen school-family synergy in fostering environmentally friendly behavior in early childhood learners.
