Analisis Manajemen Keuangan Rumah Tangga Keluarga Nelayan di Kelurahan Karangsari Kabupaten Tuban

Abstract

Indonesia’s marine resources are vast and have the potential to contribute to food security, increase community income, and create jobs. However, the income of fishermen is typically irregular, as it is influenced by weather conditions, seasons, sea waves, and catch yields. This study aims to analyse the household financial management of fishing families in Tuban District and to identify various problems that arise in family financial management. This is a qualitative study using a phenomenological research design. Financial management among traditional fishing families in Karangsari Village, Tuban Regency, remains limited due to uncertain income. Financial matters are entirely managed by the fishermen’s wives, who oversee the allocation of income to meet family needs. However, no financial records have been kept to date, so the proportion of household expenses is unknown, and there is no structured financial planning in place.
