Abstract

The art of paper folding or origami is an excellent activity to stimulate creativity and build structured thinking in children. Realizing this, the author chose to try to teach several simple paper folding methods to early age children. The author deliberately held this activity considering that there are quite a lot of small children and there are no activities that stimulate the development of fine motor skills and children's creativity that are taught here. Because the subjects of this activity are young children, this activity is designed with a simple method. Children who take part in this activity are only asked to look, then practice together and they can even form other patterns they want if they can. The time allocation for this activity is 4 hours of effective time with 2 meetings. As a result of this meeting, children became more creative and began to develop a creative, innovative and structured mindset from childhood. This activity can improve children's fine motor skills. In paper folding activities, there are many media that children can create, including mice, cats and various other animals. Through paper folding activities, it is hoped that PAUD teachers at RA Nurul Huda Grab will be more creative in creating learning media to make learning more enjoyable.
