Abstract

Environmental problems in coastal areas are becoming increasingly complex due to the rise in environmentally unfriendly human activities and low ecological awareness among the community. These conditions have a direct impact on the sustainability of coastal ecosystems and the quality of life of communities that depend on marine resources. One strategic effort to address this issue is through basic education that focuses on shaping an environmentally conscious character. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to strengthen the environmentally conscious character of students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Darul Ma'arif Kingking through integrated learning based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) with a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The implementation methods included participatory identification and planning, implementation of integrated learning-based environmental actions, participatory reflection and evaluation, as well as program reinforcement and replication. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' ecological awareness, reflected in changes in their daily attitudes and behaviors, such as waste management, maintaining the cleanliness of the madrasah environment, and active involvement in coastal environmental conservation activities. The integration of Islamic values in learning provides moral and spiritual reinforcement, so that environmental awareness is not only understood as a social obligation but also as a religious responsibility. This program produced integrated learning modules based on the coastal environment that have the potential to be replicated in other madrasahs with similar characteristics.
