This financial literacy education activity was designed to teach young children about the proper use of money, wise financial management, and the importance of saving for the future. The activity was held in Sidomulyo Village, Tuban District, Tuban Regency, and targeted children who were assisted by the Reading Community of the Coastal Generation Forum. The education method included the delivery of materials through direct instruction, hands-on activities such as making piggy banks from used drink bottles, and focus group discussions to allow for feedback and evaluation of the service. The results of the activity showed that the children had a low level of financial literacy, understood money only as a means of buying things they wanted, and did not have active savings. They also reported that their parents did not encourage them to save and provided pocket money only for snacks or to buy toys. Despite these challenges, all of the participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the activities, asking many questions and following the instructions of the service team.

Garbage is waste that is the root of environmental problems in almost all parts of the world. In the smallest scope, every family produces garbage every day. Waste management that is less than optimal will cause problems with wider impacts. Waste problems that occur in the community must certainly involve the participation of the community in efforts to gather information and solve it. This activity aims to increase public awareness about environmental health and provide new skills for the community in managing household waste through simple recycling. Recycling is processing waste into new products that are suitable for use and aims to preserve the environment. This activity was carried out using the PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) technique to maximize the active role of the community in exploring problems, formulating activities, and following up on household waste management. After the problem identification process up to the activity formulation, the community agreed to hold household waste recycling training activities. Through this training, it was found that household waste in the form of plastic spoons, mineral water bottles, and paper can be turned into new products that have aesthetic, functional, and unieqeness. Waste management skills are also considered to have increased in terms of the products produced by the community. Training activities can be carried out on an ongoing basis in order to improve relationships among institution with the surrounding community, so that higher education institutions as scientific institutions can apply the knowledge and technology they master to answer problems that exist in society and improve people's welfare.

Pendampingan Pemberdayaan UMKM Berbahan Dasar Rebon di Desa Mentoso Kec.Jenu Kab. Tuban

Abstract

Shrimp is a fairly high source of animal protein. Rebon shrimp is a type of shrimp that lives in the sea, generally used as fish feed because of its small size and low economic value. In the Mentoso area, when the rebon season arrives, many fishermen sell raw, unprocessed rebon because the price is also quite cheap. In fact, quite a lot of bamboo shoots were left alone to rot. Rebon shrimp processing in the Mentoso area is also still simple, namely by just drying it. For this reason, this program aims to introduce the processing of rebon into processed products made from rebon such as crackers, pastries and sumpia. The strategy used in this assistance is field mapping, namely conducting observations around the Mentoso village community related to small and medium enterprises. Then socialize this mentoring activity with a demonstration of rebon processing. From the results of the demonstration of processed rebon, it was found that in pastries mixing rebon shrimp flour had an effect on taste, aroma, texture, appearance and color. The selected formula is a ratio of 50% protein flour to dried shrimp and 25% dry shrimp.

Abstrak

Udang merupakan salah satu sumber protein hewani yang cukup tinggi. Udang rebon merupakan salah satu jenis udang yang hidup di laut, umumnya dimanfaatkan sebagai pakan ikan karena ukurannya yang kecil dan nilai ekonomisnya yang rendah. Di daerah Mentoso ketika tiba musim rebon, banyak nelayan yang menjual rebon mentah tanpa diolah karena harganya juga cukup murah. Bahkan cukup banyak rebon yang dibiarkan saja sampai membusuk. Pengolahan udang rebon di daerah Mentoso juga masih sederhana yaitu dengan cara di keringkan saja. Untuk itu, progam ini bertujuan mengenalkan pengolahan rebon menjadi produk olahan berbahan dasar rebon seperti krupuk, kue kering, dan sumpia. Startegi yang digunakan dalam pendampingan ini adalah dengan maping lapangan, yaitu melakuakn pengamatan di sekitar masyarakat desa Mentoso terkait dengan usaha kecil menengah. Kemudian sosialisi kegiatan pendampingan ini dengan demo pengolahan rebon. Dari hasil demontrasi olahan rebon, maka didapatkan bahwa pada kue kering pencampuran tepung udang rebon berpengaruh terhadap rasa, aroma, tekstur, kenampakan dan warna. Formula terpilih yaitu dengan perbandingan tepung dengan udang rebon sebanyak 50 % tepung protein dan udang rebon kering sebanyak 25 %.

Sosialisasi Implemantasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar untuk Meningkatkan Pengetahuan para Guru MI Al Khoiriyah 2

Abstract

This community service activity, which was carried out in 2022, aims to convey to elementary school teachers the implementation of the new Free Learning Curriculum, which will be implemented in 2024. This activity was attended by all MI Al Khoiriyah 2 teachers. The method applied was socialization in the form of two stages: the first stage was the delivery of material for the second post-covid educational impact, the delivery of independent learning curriculum material. Based on the results of observations and attendance list data during the activity, it was seen that the teachers were very enthusiastic about receiving the material. The results of this activity are that the teachers of MI Al Khoiriyah 2 have an understanding of the independent learning curriculum and are ready to implement it in 2024.

Abstrak

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan pada tahun 2022 ini bertujuan untuk menyampaikan kepada guru sekolah dasar tentang penerapan kurikulum baru Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar yang akan diberlakukan di 2024 mendatang. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh semua guru MI Al Khoiriyah 2. Metode yang diterapkan adalah sosialisai dalam bentuk 2 tahap, tahap pertama penyampaian materi dampak pendidikan pasca covid kedua, penyampaian materi kurikulum merdeka belajar. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan data daftar hadir selama kegiatan berlangsung terlihat guru-guru sangat antusias menerima materi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini guru MI Al Khoiriyah 2 mempunyai pemahaman dalam Kurikum merdeka belajar dan siap mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka Belajar tahun 2024
